Comments by "Linda S Steckel" (@Linda43) on "Jewish Israelis: If you are all related, why are you different colours?" video.
All Jews ,no matter what their color or place of birth, have a right to return to their ancestral homeland in Israel.

Jewish law and our Rabbis decide who is Jewish. Not color, or DNA.

@svlo3245 Our long exile is coming to an end. The land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people and we to it. The Arabs have been given a different destiny. Its not Israel.
3
All Jews regardless of what they look like or where they were born during the Roman exile belong to the land of Israel. Arabs in Israel come in a variety of colors too. And there is intermarriage with other groups as there are Muslim converts. Or Blondes like the Tamimi family originally from Bosnia. Or Beduin who resemble Africans. The Arabs in Israel are a mixed bag.
2
perakole An entire congregation plus from Manhattan left and made aliyah to Israel 30 years ago. They have two generations now. This year more than a thousand Jews made aliyah. So you are wrong as usual.
2
perakole If I went to Rabbi he would remind me that people like you have existed since the beginning. After all evil exists so good can prevail. You are just a part of the bigger picture.
2
perakole What are you talking about? Are you just a magnet for bad will?
2
perakole Jews were required to take European names. It was not a choice. We are all Bnei Yisroel(the Jewish people). That you are not is a blessing for us.
2
@svlo3245 Recognition of Israel as the Jewish homeland came before the UN Vote. Balfour Declaration 1917 San Remo Conference 1920 Palestine Mandate 1922 Peel Commission 1936 UN 1947 FYI: The British abstained for the UN vote.
2
perakole You are just ignorant and full of hate. Why live in Israel? Return to Europe. Its a better fit.
2
@svlo3245 It doesn't matter what the catalyst was that brought it about. The fact is that it occurred and it wouldn't have occurred if there was no historical basis. The Jewish people are the indigenous people of the Southern Levant with a history of three thousand plus years. The Arabs are the occupiers who are descendants of migrants 19th century and invaders from Arabia during the Arab conquests.
2
perakole Too bad. Israel is was and will be the nation state of the Jewish people. Get over it and. ....get out.
2
@svlo3245 Now that's the Sv Lo we all know and.........

She almost never replies unless its to her taste. No dialog here. Sorry
1
@manon562 She doesn't engage at all. Why post at all?
1
Thats nonsense on all accounts. You shouldn't project on me what is in your own heart. You are oversensitive. Perhaps going online is not for you.
1
soia You are correct. Don't pay attention to others. Follow the dictates of your heart and mind. Worse comes to worse Shireen won't answer you. Thats her problem.
1
soia Pleasure. And Shana Tovah. Much health, joy and success in the year to come.
1
@pusanghalaw Are you going for old English? Or are just deranged?
1
Orthodox Rabbis until further notice.
1
@SimonKanner-si3it There are already many Orthodox Rabbis who help people with difficult or unusual circumstances who want to convert. Lieberman is a divisive presence. In the end he will lose.
1
@SimonKanner-si3it We already have Russians for that. Lol But really seriously, Lieberman is a blow hard and the Observant Jewish sector is much stronger than you realize.
1
@solvingpolitics3172 A statistic I read recently in the JP said the Arab birthrate has decreased. As for the Jewish birthrate I observe that the Orthodox Jewish community seems to be blossoming. So no I don't worry.
1
@guywhousesapseudonymonyout4272 What do you want to say exactly?
1
There are already organizations like Tzohar that assist couples in difficult circumstances to marry under Jewish law. A "kosher "conversion is never "speedy". However the two must be Jewish under Jewish law. If someone is not they can convert. Feeling Jewish or identifying with the Jewish people isn't enough. There some couples who chose civil marriage because it how they feel. That is their choice. I will never support civil marriage. And I do support the Rabbinute.
1
Ian Miles Its not your choice or that of the non jewish world or secular Jewish world. It is according to Jewish law and the Rabbanim. It is not a utube debate.
1
Ian Miles He may remain a Jew but he is not part of the Jewish community. And that is a huge thing.
1
@guywhousesapseudonymonyout4272 A Jew never looses his Jewishness. You are correct about how he may return as a practicing Jew and a member of the Jewish community.
1
@guywhousesapseudonymonyout4272 A Jew has a pure soul that is connected to G-d no matter what he has done. A Jew remains a Jew. What ever technical things he might have to do in order to reenter the Jewish community is another matter. We are not so a part in our understanding and perceptions. Shalom Aleichem
1
@guywhousesapseudonymonyout4272 I stand by my beliefs which are based on Jewish law and Rabbinical interpretation. The most important point is only through a Jewish mother can a person be Jewish.
1
@guywhousesapseudonymonyout4272 The issue of a "soul" is relevant. Try to be more respectful of others belief system and less "triggered".
1
Hareidi Jews have as much a place in society as secular Jews. You will have to accept that as you can not change it. You can't change people At least not by ridicule or condescension. I accept that there will always be differences in the Jewish community. We are all exist "in the shadow of G-d"....secular and religious.
1
These are your opinions. The real question is who are you fighting with really. It isn't me obviously. Israel ? Rabbis? Jewish law? G-d? I suggest you take a breath and step back. ... This is a good time of year for spiritual reflection and a mental housecleaning. Shana Tova ve'metukah
1
@guywhousesapseudonymonyout4272 The fact still remains that if you marry Marina your children will not be Jewish. They may love Israel and the Jewish people but only a kosher conversion will make them Jews according to Jewish law. The rest of your rationale is just interesting nothing more. As always Shalom Aleichem
1
The Jewish people chose G-d and he chose us.
1
Thanks to G-d !! Our long exile is coming to an end and that is what counts.
1
@biblebus1080 The Jewish people wait in perfect faith for the true Mashiach. Enough said.
1
perakole We have time. And with the growing Jew hatred in Europe many will come. G-d works in mysterious ways.
1
perakole There has always been differences between people in Israel. I have faith that at the end of the day we will always come together as a nation. By the way most aliyah now is from the religious not the secular.
1
@solvingpolitics3172 The best answer yet. Kol Hakavod(all do respect)
1
ג'ואי צוקר Who ever said that? Zionism is Jewish pride and self determination. The Jewish people are entitled to the same sense of national pride as any other group. Israel is the homeland of the Jewish people.
1
ג'ואי צוקר Why do you keep repeating yourself? No one on this thread will agree with you.
1
ג'ואי צוקר AntiZionism is the new AntiSemitism Jew haters need no excuse for their racism. People like you are giving it to them. Zionism is a ideology that has saved millions of Jews from persecution and brought them home to their ancestral homeland in Israel. If you choose not to be a part of it....so be it.
1
ג'ואי צוקר You are a typical diaspora Jew. Choosing victimhood instead of supporting the Jewish state. That is not my problem. So you deal with it. The Arabs in Israel are not persecuted. Perhaps you could ask them if they would like to trade places with their brethren in other Arab country. And they are not occupied. This is our country. We are the indigenous people of the Southern Levant. They are the occupiers who are descendants of migrants 19th century and invaders from Arabia.
1
perakole And even they know that they are not indegenous.
1
ג'ואי צוקר What you lack is pride not superiority. The Arabs don't defend themselves. They commit acts of terror. There is a very good article from the BESA(Begin Sadat Center for Strategic Studies) on the subject of " indegenous people" of the Southern Levant.
1
ג'ואי צוקר Israel defends itself from Arab terrorism. Despite this We don't hate but reserve the right to defend our lives. https://mfa.gov.il> palestinian> pages
1
G-d also abhors a hypocrite.
1
ג'ואי צוקר Please be more exact. I am good at guessing but I don't read minds. The IDF does not target civilians. As a matter of fact it has a clear policy of avoiding injuring or killing civilians. Sometimes at its own detriment. Hamas buses thousands of women children elderly and disabled to the border each week to be used as human shields for Hamas terrorists trying to infiltrate the border into Israel. That is abuse and exploitation. Where is your moral outrage?
1
ג'ואי צוקר Volunteers Medics etc are aware of the risks of a conflict zone.
1
perakole Why are you in Israel? You are apparently a bitter and unhappy person. Go live somewhere else.
1
perakole A person isn't a bigot because they disagree with your (mis) understanding of the World. Or because they question why you remain in a country with a group of people you revile. You are the bigot here.
1
@biblebus1080 I am a Orthodox Jew with many connections to the Haredi world. I can tell that you still hate. You obviously have no real knowledge of the Torah community. Fake Jews? Who are you to make that judgment?
1
perakole You make no sense. Lucky for you I know you meant " judging" not " jugging".
1
perakole There you go again making assumptions. Such stereotyping and bias. Add that to hate and you have a lethal cocktail.
