  20. The Israeli educational system is not controlled by the religious. It is divided between the state secular system and the state religious system with two different curriculums. Both learn about THerzl. Perhaps you are thinking of the Ultra Orthodox who don't study secular things.

  56.  @prinpi  The Israeli curriculum is developed by both secular and religious educators as it should be. The school system is divided into secular and religious ie: state religious and secular. Two different curriculums for two different sectors. Ultra Orthodox have a different curriculum. I know this because my children went to school in Israel.

  58. The Israeli school system is one of the most liberal. There are many alternatives to the traditional settings. For example: Bilingual schools, the Democratic School and the Conservative School system. Each is required to follow the state curriculum if only because the students will in the future want to do Bagrut. Obviously you were in a inappropriate educational setting.
