  1. The number of Pakistani Jews officially is at approximately 500 to 600 Jews. However a spokesman for the community says it's more like 200 scattered throughout the country mostly in Islamabad. Most are elderly. The younger generation has left to other countries including Israel. It is a disappearing community like so many Jewish communities in the ME. Most are descendants of Bnei Yisroel and some from Afghanistan. Recently a Jewish man was allowed to register as a Jew for the first time. It is wonderful to be acquainted with another Jewish community. How fortunate are we that Israel the nation state of the Jewish People exists to welcome all Am Yisroel from all over the world. Israel is was and will be the nation state of ALL the Jewish people AM YISROEL CHAI ISRAEL LIVES
