In Israel the legal system is made up of civil and religious law(Jewish) There are 2 Islamic courts in Israel. Recently a cadit was appointed to one. I don't know if Sharia Law is enforced in Areas a b or in Gaza. As for Palestine? I couldn't find it.

@alexcarter8807 I was being facetious. You are correct. Their state is in Jordan.

@ansarullah2005 The "Palestinian" identity was created by Arafat in 1964. Hardly indegenous just typical Arab storytelling. The only indegenous people of the Southern Levant are the Jewish people and their three thousand year old history in Israel. Pushing this fraudulent narrative doesn't help the Arabs at all. All it does is prolong their misery. Israel is was and will be the nation state of the Jewish people

So if you wanted a divorce...would you go to a civil court in Israel or a Sharia Court in Israel?

I didn't advocate for Sharia Law. I don't know if "throwing gays" off roofs or honor killings are a part of Sharia Law. And I live in Judea and Samaria. So I don't understand your point at all.

@ansarullah2005 The modern state of Israel was recognized by the UN in 1948. The Jewish people have always been the indigenous people of the Southern Levant. Your deflection and omission only shows agreement.

soia I don't think he is disagreeing with you.

@somegirl4631 Good reference

@somegirl4631 100%? Did you forget all the Orthodox Jews, including Hareidi Jews who are citizens, and don't agree with a secular state. Better not to overstate your case.

Eternal Fisherman Jewish law is already a part of the fabric of Israeli law.
1
Eternal Fisherman Up to? I'm not up to anything lol. Sounds criminal. : )

All societies need to work on themselves. Nothing is perfect No one is perfect. I would not choose another place to live. I am not a lone in that feeling. Many feel the same way, religious and secular.
1
Eternal Fisherman It would depend on what I suppose and to what end. I do support the Right if that is your question.
1
Eternal Fisherman Are you Jewish? Your text is confusing. Converts to Judaism are considered as much Jewish as if they were born so. Its against Jewish law to remind them of their past.
1
Eternal Fisherman Jewish mother?
1
Eternal Fisherman Yes I fully accept them as Jews. I admire their courage. Where I live there are many Conversos from South and Central America. Its a privilege to witness the "in gathering of the exiles"
1
Eternal Fisherman Thats true but they have not been practicing it and still needed to convert. In any case I would accept any convert for the reasons stated. Do you have a problem with converts or the cultures they might come from? Lets say not Western.
1
Eternal Fisherman I would not hold the crimes of their grandparents/parents against them. That is the best I can say for now. Anyone who converts to Judaism becomes a part of the Jewish people. As you know conversion, at least Orthodox conversion, is a huge undertaking. It was interesting speaking to you. Good night

So you mean Israeli civil court? Jewish women need to go to the Beit Din for a get. Is it the same for Moslem women? That is you need a Sharia Court for a document?
1
Starhopper The first part may have been years ago but I think it has changed in recent years. Curious to know.

1- Beduin 2- Spousal abuse is unfortunately a factor in Israel but yes it is a crime.

@משהומשהו-כ2ר Sharia Law ,as a main legal system, is appropriate for Moslem countries. Israel, a Jewish state, has its own legal system.
1
@משהומשהו-כ2ר Its a general statement. What does your statement have to do with my original post? Did anyone say Sharia Law is just one law?
