  2.  @joyphillips1821  Can you explain deductible for me please - is it tax related?.It is the health care itself that is over the top and makes it unaffordable. If hospitals charged properly then you could afford it. Most countries seem to be able to manage to do it.

  3. Did he ever replace Obamacare with anything. I like Australia's system. Until you get paid 90k per annum then you are not compelled to take out private insurance if you do not want to. i am in that boat. I pay 2% of my income as a contribution to Medicare (known as the medicare levy). Over the years I have at least five full theatre skin cancer operations and another ten "see and treat" operations (just a nurse and surgeon) . I have paid nothing extra for any of these treatments. Of course this means I get treated in a Public Hospital but it one that trains a lot of the private hospital surgeons and don't get to choose my surgeon. I don't have a problem with this as I would only be taking my doctors advice anyway and there is a chance he would refer me to a surgeon in a private hospital that he is part owner of.
