  1. I remember when I lived and worked there the scale of some of the factories was breathtaking - an electronic factory with 32 surface mount lines! I spent over four years there and loved it.

  2. everyone seems to think that rare earths are hard to find - they are not. It is the processing of them that is difficult to do safely.

  3. Interesting fact for you. I worked in electronics and I needed a part that I could source from the huge USA companies that sell them or I could get them from my supplier in Shenzhen. I got them from Shenzhen and then worked out that they had come from one of the USA companies so my supplier could buy them from the USA cheaper than i could.

  4. The fixation is not on war - the fixation is making money from supplying the Pentagon at prices you can't charge anyone else. the 'war' is just the excuse for a lot of it. Think of how many aircraft are in the desert that were never flown in anger and think of the cost of them.
