what a load of crap. Now is not the time to take or not take responsibility for past actions. now is the time to take action for current situations. The actions taken in Victoria were in accordance with the National cabinet anyway.

The main reason he got back in is that so many people actually agreed with what he did during the height of the pandemic even if it was detrimental to them.
78
neither side are taking any notice of what the UN says so move on.
41
Whats with the HE can't afford a third wave - it is WE who cannot afford it just as much as he.

The bigest problem is that Mr Keating is basically correct. the USA views China as an enemy because they can't have a rival as that does not allow them to waste so much money on defence spending. Imagine the unemployment in the USA without the vast sums spent on military and weapons. China can't "invade" taiwan as you can't invade yourself (in their eyes). They expect that eventually the taiwanese will want to be part of the PRC and are quite willing to wait years for that to happen.

is this woman for real or is she just following a script.
34
isn't it healthy that we don't all agree! There has not been enough informed debate over the submarines. Most people have their view clouded by the USA version of China. It is refreshing to hear Mr Keatings explanations of his position. As i lived in China for over four years I tend to agree more with his position than with buying these subs.
22
the answer is quite simple. We agreed with what he did which was follow the directions of the CHO which until legislation was changed he was compelled to.
13
How is exposing a war crime a wrong????
12
Of course he wouldn't endorse her. He may well support her but there is a process that should be gone through.
11
obeying Mr Murdoch's instructions I expect.
11
At least some Republicans believe in the rule of law. Pity more didn't do the same as Mr Burr.
10
Iran may not be flavour of the month but it isn't officially an enemy so why shouldn't Western governments at least be polite.
9
He ran away in fear from Vietnam.
9
@calus_bath_water I think so but I trust Harris more (I am Australian)
9
Why - because what he says is not clouded by American influence perhaps?
8
I have just got back from Aldi in Dandenong and there were no problems that I could identify. The person in front of me used a card but I used cash. Woolies and Coles appeared to be operating.
6
Note from Rupert - We lost!
6
yes you are right. He made sense especially to someone who has lived in China.
6
I love listening to these Sky guys they don't know shit from clay.
5
I think that if facebook don't like our laws then the Government should shut it down for a time and let the advertisers put the pressure on Facebook.
5
And Yes is a valid note too. We all have the right to hear views and I have got the most sensible suggestions for a No vote from the ABC. Most of the other reasons i have been seeing are just crap.
5
@allanbriggs807 yes. They voted the Labor Party in knowing that this referendum would be scheduled and he did just that.
5
the RAN have a history of cockups - Seasprites, Manoora etc.
4
Its about time Rupert conceded. Who decides what News services are fit to cover politics.
4
@greg8938 I agree but i humour those who believe in one.
4
Didn't SkyNews say that we were going to get to 1000 per day! Glad they were wrong.
4
@camrenpr6259 I can't see the problem - if the people affected choose to not put the money in to super then it gets taxed at 35%. The change will make it taxed at 30% rather than 15%. Still sounds like a pretty good deal to me and a problem I might just be happy to have.
4
The Government should threaten them with an anti-trust (monopoly) action.
4
Well if they put a balloon over any of the Sky studios then there is little hope of it discovering any intelligence.
3
Don't like your chances but gee I hope you are right. It hasn't done that in Europe as they have had it through Spring and Summer and now Autumn.
3
Typically not thought out answer. It had a structure underneath it so you don't suppose they just waited until it was over water so it didn't fall on anyone. There have been these balloons before and they bothered to shoot them down. The Pentagon appear to have the situation in hand.
3
Just put out large cardboard boxes for each one and you'll catch them quickly.
3
@Matt123a Even if the process is rigged there is still a process.
3
They haven't broken any promise. This is no different to when we weren't going to get a GST. The proposal was put forward to the next election. I am sure the 5 out of 1000 people affected will be happy to only be taxed 30% rather than 45%.
3
@johnwoodrow8769 so by allowing them to still get taxed at 30%rather than 45% is a problem? It still sounds like a good deal to me.
3
How about you wait until you know the details.
3
@rogerc6533 Yep. We are the economic threat to ourselves because of our slavish following of the Yanks.
3
@ryanlicastro3041 Why don't you give it a rest. Private enterprise failed as much as the Government. he is not my beloved at all but I think he is doing an OK job. We were having the same path to normality until two things happened - the media showed the Yanks taking no notice of physical distancing and the protests being held here.
3
So the News network that told Victoria that it would have 1000 Covid cases a dat by now is pretending again that it is compentent at bringing objective news to the screen. try again people.
3
@julienfroidevaux1143 self made ? He has lost most of the money his rich father left him.
3
What is bizarre about doing what everyone else does.
3
So the RBA wants us to spend less by spending more - just that we spend it at the bank rather than commerce. I can't see the sense in it.
3
@roberthull7088 20/20 hindsight is marvelous especially in 2020!
3
he was born in Sydney.
3
I enjoyed it.
3
I would have just dragged her out of the way by her ankles.
3
Lucky for you guys it isn't ebola. Protests are OK if there isn't a transmittable disease around but wake up to the reality of the situation.
3
So without being privy to the evidence presented to the Grand Jury you can completely disregard their decision - that is journalism at its worst. The evidence led to an indictment and the court will decide the final decision.
3
It is a medical issue and the Chief Helath Officer makes the decision not the Premier.
