  2.  John Wood  Come on now. If the CPC had stopped travelers from leaving China until they had been in quarantine for 14 days then all hell would have broken lose! Hopefully this investigation will lead to an agreement where that course of action is sanctioned world wide.

  5.  nc  Its pretty easy just take the initials of its official English name. In Chinese it is 中国共产党 ZhongHua Gòngchǎndǎng (ZhongHua is the native name for China).It is just people being disrespectful. I might start calling it the UAS.

  8.  John Wood  the tariff investigation has been going on since 2018 so it was coming anyway. the timing is likely more to do with what the Yanks and our Navy are doing in the South China Sea - we don't know for sure.

  9.  John Wood  the problem they had was at first they thought it was the previous SARS returned and yes they knew it was contagious. It turns out to be SARS2 which is related but not the same. As I am not familiar with disease identification I don't know how easy or hard that process is.They are no different to what all Governments do when something like this happens - they put out "marketing spin" like Mr Trump did. the they find out the extent and take action.
