I haven't had much to do with great danes but the two I knew the best were fantastic dogs. One was called Conan and he looked very imposing but was the sweetest dog you could come across except if you went near his two year old mistress and then he went in to guard dog mode. the other was a neighbours dog and I went to a motor race 1000k away from home and when I came out of the toilets and had gone about 20metres I saw this huge dog running towards me. It then jumped up on me and realised that it was my neighbours dog. How he identified me from 20 metres I will never know. he really loved his pats and cuddles. His exhausted owner finally caught up and started laughing at what had happened.
