Comments by "Ian Montgomery" (@ianmontgomery7534) on "American Family Tries an AUSTRALIAN Burger For the First Time!" video.
When I lived in China one of my mates Matt was the chef at the Holiday Inn steak restaurant. A mate and I went for dinner and Matt cooked Australian style hamburgers for us. A couple of Americans saw what we got and came over and asked where it was on the menu. We explained the situation and Matt came out and agreed that he would cook them for the two Americans the next day (they had already ordered from the menu). the feedback was entirely positive.

@larrylongprong5219 Not sure - it years since I spoke to him. If he once cooked for Princess Di then it is him.

I find that makes them a little too sweet.

@fergulator7297 i can't remember the last time I got cooked pineapple on a hamburger in victoria. I imagine it happens but I have seldom seen it done.

@PhantomFilmAustralia That is exactly what I do.

if I make hamburgers at home I slice the pineapple much thinner than canned pineapple - it makes it easier to eat.

@BESHYSBEES Well there are four fish 'n chippers in my area and none cook the pineapple.

@PhantomFilmAustralia I don't use salt when cooking but the paprika sounds fine. Also it depends on the type of pineapple some are much sweeter than others.

@PhantomFilmAustralia It still depends on what breed of pineapple you get. These days I always buy fresh ones and there is a vast difference in colour and sweetness between the varieties. When i lived in China the pineapples grown in the town i lived in were almost too sweet and the one I just finished, which I bought at Dandenong market, was very sweet too but didn't get sweeter when cooked..
