  1. Expensive realestate in Australia depends a lot on location. Sydney harbourside would get my vote as the most expensive followed by the Toorak/South Yarra in Melbourne. The prices for houses have risen beyond the joke though. Land value is often what they sell for if the house can be knocked over and replaced by a couple of units - developers are really busy.
