  1.  @gj1234567899999  it depends on what the chip is doing. The technology is different for different types of chips but they all require heaps of water. Intels US plant used to use around 4.8million gallons a day. That is a serious amount of water. At 8.34 pounds per gallon this means they were using nearly 18000 ton of water a day.
