Melbourne had 400 cases a day before compulsory masks and lockdown. Now has under 20. It works but it does come at a cost.

@dacman61 i don't have a problem with people thinking that way but I prefer my customers to be alive and healthy so they can be repeat customers. Life is always a risk.

@munenex Crap. They aren't manipulating it at all. If it was then someone in the system would be shouting it out to try and bring down the Government! Nearly all of the current infections are within aged care or hospitals. In other States of Australia the most common is returning travellers who are in quarantine (Victoria is not allowing returns at the moment.) T

@munenex Gto no idea what kool aid is about but if a few weeks putting up with crap gets a virus under control then I will go with that every time.

@rossmanngroup Yes if you make a rule you should follow it but I don't have a problem with them taking a mask off for interviews as it allow people to lip read and the people watching should be a lot further than social distance that is talked about. Part of the problem in this case is the way different societies work. Asians like China and Japan are family and community focussed more than western cultrues are so they will accept restrictions for the common good. From Australia it doesn't appear that the USA works like that in a lot of areas. I have been there so i can't be sure but it is my perception from what I see on news and Youtube and various forums and the replies I see on them.
