@troywhitelock6441 rubbish. The 15K was the figure they intended to sell over the life of the Chev SS not per annum. I was involved in buying the parts for the prototype Clusters for this vehicle and this was the figure we were given for planning purposes.

GM set out to build and sell 15000 of the vehicle and that is about how many they ended up with. They could not sell more as it would have upset their total fleet fuel consumption figure. That is why it was never advertised other than being the name they used on their Nascar which was a two door and not a four door like the SS.
