If they do have a phone it should be just that and no more - ie able to take and make calls and sms but that's all.

@chisomochimala My father was a bank manager in Australia and I was home alone and probably 9 and I saw a guy on the roof of the chemist a couple of doors down. I used our home phone to call the police who caught the guy. You never know what may come up.
