  1. gee things are different in Australia. Our instant coffee is quite OK and that is probably because our coffee culture demands it. I would expect a supermarket here to have a least ten brands of instant coffee of various types. personally I prefer instant to drip filter coffee but always prefer espresso.

  2. Why not heat water in your microwave. You shouldn't boil water for tea unless it is to get rid of bacteria in the water. When I lived in China everyone made tea with water straight from the water bottle heater/cooler.
