  1. The question is not if a confederation would be good.. it’s how much power would each sovereign nation have to turn over to the EU. For instance , would the EU have the power to decide how much electricity each nation can use. What kind of food is produced. Would you be allowed to own a car, or land? The federal government is smashing the middle class in the US, because they want more power to make these types of decisions… for each person. Federal bureaucracies tend to become autocrats…that leads to totalitarian types of government. Look carefully at what is happening in the US…before handing over power to central governments.
