  1. You can only have a safety net if there is enough money generated by the economy to HAVE THE MONEY for a safety net. No country has a larger safety net than the capitalist US. Taxpayers not only support 40% of the unproductive citizens in the U.S….they also give BILLIONS to other countries, every year, as well as protect countries so they are not invaded. Can countries in Europe protect themselves without the U.S. and NATO? Ships sailing the seas are protected by the U.S. military…a very generous’social program’ provided by U.S. taxpayers! Only capitalism allows for that generosity.
