  1. It seems that the story of God freeing the Israelite slaves in Egypt is Gods answer to identity politics. God wants his people to each have the freedom to say yes or no. Slaves are a collective, they are born into that collective and must stay there. So if you want a slave society…that’s identity politics. Christians and Jews are individual people, each must be judged according to their own actions. Identity politics is Marxism, and his notion of social justice depends on the identity box you are in.
