The ‘problem’ with capitalism is not the capitalist, it’s the 7 billion people that want what the capitalist is producing. The consumer is not forced to purchase the goods and services of the capitalist. In fact, if they stop purchasing from the capitalist, the capitalist, goes out of business. The government could place a high tax on consumers so they can’t afford the product or service, but without forbidding purchasing from a particular capitalist…demand drives supply. If you are just trying to prohibit the successful capitalist from making a profit, then the government can impose regulations that will choke production of certain capitalist’s and shut down production. The U.S. government does that and it has worked very well in driving sectors out of business. The only capitalist’s that are monopolies, are the capitalist’s that partner with the government. Those partnerships are the dangerous ones. The capitalist, on his own, is actually quite vulnerable to many risks. Capitalism is good until it partners with government…then it can turn bad. Both capitalists and government like to acquire data on people….government is the most dangerous when they get data on people. They have guns and lawfare on their side.
