If two people take out loans for something they want or need… why should only one not have to pay it back? One person needs a car, so he can get to work. Another person gets a college degree with his loan money. Both are assets. If a third person takes out a loan, and buys a house with it…. That house is also an asset. Now a financial disaster hits. The man who bought the car and the man who bought the house lose their job… they can’t pay their loans….the bank takes their assets…they are left with nothing. The student however is able to finish their degree, because they paid for four years….however now they are saying they can’t get a job. Why is their loan forgiven? They purchased an asset and are allowed to keep their asset…but stiff the taxpayers who loaned them the money. This is stealing money from taxpayers…everyone else pays for college by working their way thru, some people couldn’t go to college…they had to work full time. And yet they have to pay for the guy who took out a loan… and stiffed the workers who didn’t have the money to go.
