How many US taxpayers are responsible for caring for other nations? Should they work two jobs to pay for health services for the rest of the world. Who pays for US taxpayer’s health care… most don’t have coverage, there is no universal free health service…even though they are supplying money for free medicines for others. If the nation is sovereign, that means they are responsible for themselves. Maybe those countries receiving aid need to change the structure of their government.

They have to be able to deny entry. It is a sovereign nation.

Every western country needs to figure out how many people can migrate in and be financially taken care of by the taxpayers. Can each taxpayer be held to support 5 families. There is some number at which the taxpayer cannot support one more family. That’s where you stop.

How sad, the Ukraine government has killed all their young men. For what? 💔💔💔💔💔💔

This was a fascinating interview. I would just like to mention, that the US has supported NATO since 1949, and it was created to protect Europe in particular from the Soviet Union. That means Europe has had almost 75 years to build up defenses in their own countries.. or alliances. They have not done that… however the US taxpayers provided most of the NATO budget in addition to protecting many countries under the umbrella of the US forces for those 75 years.. So when you say ‘can we depend on the US’ to continue to pay for these wars…. it is very dismaying to a US citizen whose relatives fought and died in Europe and Vietnam…. and who now are sending 40 BILLION taxpayers dollars, in addition to what those taxpayers have given so far to NATO. Trump was saying…. Pay your fair share Europe….many US taxpayers who have to work for that 40Billion… are saying the same thing.

It makes sense there would be differences in opinions on speech. The U.S. represents a capitalist economy, which allows great freedom of the individual, the other countries are socialist and communist, where government has great control over all businesses, and restricts individuals on what they can do. (For instance by imposing high tax on income). It’s a difference of how free the individual is. There is nothing new about that.

Shipping LNG to Germany will be very expensive….Germany’s inflation rate will really go up.
14
Remember…. It’s the Taliban government now…. They can take care of Afghanistan now! They wanted, the people wanted… it’s their country… their economy!
11
Please be as interested in posting dollar amounts of what Ukraine’s concerned neighbors are giving to this critical war. Starting with Germany and France…. what are they pledging.

It’s great that people are engaged in helping the environment. They just need to be realistic on how to keep the electricity on in order not to shut down their economy.
9
They seem to be sinking into oblivion… unless they are transferring their manufacturing base to other countries which is discussed in the UN Global Equity and Climate Change Agenda. The other ‘poor’ countries use their carbon zero points in their country… the European countries receive profits but their credits stay low… that would be a risky thing to do….
7
China does huge amounts of business in Europe, they own container ports and do many belt and road infrastructure projects in different countries. Germany sells cars in China. They will work things out.
7
If you don’t have energy…. your economy goes off a cliff… and you need food… which also requires energy. Europe is between a rock and a hard space…. but they were very short sided not to look into the future…. windmills and solar just don’t get you the products your population depends on.
6
Climate change depends on money? Then we are in trouble. Every nation is in debt. There is no money. The only hope is new technology continues to come on line… but that takes capitalism…. and that is what the UN and even the U.S. government is shutting down. Maybe the population will start declining, that would help.

This was an excellent and informative interview. As a US taxpayer, I was particularly interested in what Mr. Link said about military spending on the European side of the equation as concerns NATO. I feel the US taxpayer has been taken advantage of… and don’t understand why Europe for 75 years has not built its own military. Mr. Link talked about countries being alleys and friends who must speak up if things are not going in the right direction (when Trump was president) but Trump was just saying what a friend would say if the bar tab is always picked up by the US taxpayer. The people in the US consider Europe as allies and friends, our soldiers have died fighting in wars involving European countries. But… 75 years is long enough…. maybe try a little more capitalism and less socialism… so all the bills can be paid. I hope you interview Mr. Link again. Maybe on why Europe cannot be energy independent… and have to rely on Russia. Why not use more fossil fuels with new technology. Thank you!

There is lots of coal in China. China doesn’t worry about carbon pollution, they want to manufacture products and have a good economy. Net Zero will push many companies to China.
6
What scientific progress occurred in the last three years under Biden/Harris?
6
If Germany stands with Ukraine that’s their business…. but then Germany supplies German troop, and technical support…. don’t whistle for other countries to pay for it..
6
It’s really heartbreaking that countries that have been effected by climate change for decades… have not prepared by working on their infrastructure. Underdeveloped countries have so much corruption and so little capitalists…. that there society falls backwards instead of forward. There people have to change their system of govt…..in order for anything to change. Looking for handouts from other countries is not a realistic solution.
5
Is the electricity still on? If it’s not…there will be no economy and no change. It boils down to that.
5
How do you dictate to sovereign nations not to burn down forests for agriculture, housing or mining? They are developing countries and they obviously don’t care. No one is talking about population control…. That is the main driver of deforestation… until that happens…the forests will go up in flames.
5
If Europe had more energy to produce goods and services… then they could export more (because of sinking euro)….the same thing is happening in the US … no energy… sinking economy….politicians are not economists. And they get paid …. no matter what happens to the economy….
5
They wouldn’t put on sanctions unless they can get assurances of alternative oil sources. There economies would go belly up. The U.S. will fund the Europeans in some way…. Maybe US gas prices will go up….(more) to fund the EU shortfalls.
5
Countries that have been receiving aid for DECADES….never change… the aid just makes the leaders rich….their poverty assures the leaders stay rich and in power (guaranteed aid money).
4
Germany just has to decide how much electricity they want. And if they don’t need manufacturing, maybe they don’t need much electricity or a big economy. It’s up to them, they are a sovereign nation. ❤
4
Nigeria receives hundreds of millions of dollars just from the US in aid money…. Where does it go? If Nigeria cannot feed itself…. How does the population keep growing? It could be there is money in poverty…. But just for the government.
4
EXACTLY!!!! Trillions of dollars and how many precious US soldiers…. The entire Middle East and Africa are TRIBAL (for thousands of years).. and they have decided to stay that way!
4
Who pays? If they are sovereign nations… the governments in those nations have to change policies so their citizens can take care of themselves….all countries have college educated professionals that attend all the UN conferences. They know what they have to do. But those governments don’t want to lose power… so they don’t make the necessary changes…. they look around for someone else to give them money.
4
Why don’t immigrants understand they can’t push into a foreign country with no skills including language skills, and land in the middle class! They feel entitled to immediate middle class status… even though they don’t have a penny when they land in the new country! It takes at least 2 generations.
3
😂😂 And the EU and U.S. will be doing Net Zero!
3
It looks like not all Africans hate western colonial imperialist’s.
3
Pakistan is a sovereign nation. That means it’s independent from other countries, it’s own unique government that takes care of its own infrastructure and its citizens. And it can also borrow money from international banks set up for infrastructure issues. Other countries have emergencies too… who steps forward to fund and work for other nations. Only about 1 or 2… and they are broke and also borrowing trillions……
3
Now that they have been registered with the UN and are on a data based…. will the UN be redistributing and transporting them to where they want to go?
3
The west emits air pollution because the west develops products and services the rest of the world demands… including electricity. If other countries don’t want those products and services… then pollution will go down. The west is like a giant Amazon. Anything people want… they order. There are approximately 5-6B people out of 7-8B total that live outside the western countries. If those 6B don’t buy products and services from the west.. maybe they can make those products with less pollution. They are all sovereign nations.. there is no reason they can’t produce whatever they want… and reduce pollution.
3
No cheap energy….no economy. No cheap energy….inflation➡️ poverty. To many immigrants feeding off social services ➡️ more poverty. They are all self inflicted wounds.
3
Just as a different view… hundreds of government lawyers have spent tens of millions of taxpayers dollars attempting to find a crime that Trump MAY have committed. They have looked around the world with the help of other countries intelligence services. How could any one outwit those odds… particularly since Trump was working as the US president 24/7. 75M people voted for Trump… because at least 75M US citizens know there is corruption in the federal government….. FBI and DOJ are arresting people worked or volunteered to work for Trump… or went to the Jan. 6 protest at the capital. In the U.S. only certain elites may be president… Donald Trump is not in that club…. he must be made to pay for that. And the people who had the courage to vote for him. 75M people voting for an outsider means something is rotten on the inside. And corruption grows..

Pirate-in-Chief Biden talking about Robber Barron’s 😂😂😂😂❤ He’s the Robber Barron Pirate! 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
2
No energy, no economy.
2
Isn’t the job of government to prepare for emergencies and to be able to defend your country…..where is the money going…. windmills and solar??
2
It can cost billions of dollars and years to develop one successful vaccine. No one country or pharma company can give patients away free… . Congratulations to Africa to stepping out and starting to fund for the vaccines for some of the worlds diseases. Hopefully… other countries will follow SA’s lead.
2
These immigrants have left there countries because there governments are not creating growing economies. It’s the responsibility of the governments to take care of their citizens. All the countries are receiving millions of dollars of aid, if it isn’t going to the poor people.. the aid should be withheld. Europe can’t support millions of uneducated, unskilled, and sick people… their economies will collapse.
2
This vaccine was not developed in Cameroon, it is a Bill and Melinda Gates funded/WHO/UNICEF vaccine. African countries have agreed to participate in distribution to their citizens. It is free to them. It’s important to point that out.
2
Are they really so blind that they don’t see THEY are the ones setting disastrous policies into motion…. Starting with shutting down energy grids and the coronavirus lockdowns???
2
Africa is a continent of conflict within its nations. Why should they be on the permanent security council? They are fighting among themselves and do not step in to help each other obtain peace. They should be the last countries to be on a world security council. In addition, how much aid do they give out? They should not be on the committee that decides where the aid money goes. That’s the fox guarding the henhouse! The countries receiving the aid should NOT be the people deciding who gets the aid! And third, why are African countries asking for preferential treatment over other countries that are in the UN? The UN is not owned and operated by African countries. They would only want on the security council to get more aid ! Let them start their own UN, where THEY are giving out money, loans, and health services, etc.. Let’s see how their taxpayer’s like working free to support a UN like US taxpayer’s do!!
2
We are seeing communism in real time. It’s not nice people looking for equity and equality…. there will be carnage. This is what Build. Back. Better. actually means… when you see communists in their ‘cancel’ mode. Professors better pack their bags and get out fast…
2
There is hypocrisy all around the table. All countries are hypocrites! Especially the ones run by dictators.
2
Africa has oil, gold, uranium, lithium… those countries should be helping Somalia.
2
Sovereign nations should be building infrastructure to alleviate water shortages and cut down on high water usage businesses like mining. People with water on their heads… have no water infrastructure… that is the responsibility of their governments…. not other countries.
2
They will not survive except in poverty, unless the ditch socialism and adopt capitalism.
2
There are about 3B people who want into nations that provide food and other services. Every country will have to secure its borders…. or be over-run by people who need to be taken care of by taxpayers. Economies will collapse. Energy is being shut down too… so there is already an economic downturn.
