  1. I’m a 7th generation Californian…. although I don’t live there now. The one variable I think you left out is the university system… it is vast, and very politically coordinated with the democrats. Federal money pours in as well as international money (China)….and tech money. Research grants are a big moneymaker for universities…there could be hundreds of millions slipping into California and democrats coffers every year….via research grants. California China Climate Institute is centered at UCBERKELY, headed by Jerry Brown. Other UC universities are working on this project too. Joe Biden stated that the U.S. green infrastructure projects will be modeled after California’s model…which will be in large part China’s infrastructure project. The Chinese have also attempted to purchase 1/2 of Long Beach Harbor. (I think Trump blocked it, but now he is gone). China’s foothold in the U.S., I believe, is set firmly in California. PS. Insurance costs have doubled, and many companies have pulled the plug and moved out. Democrats headquarters, also California.

  21. India has to be somewhat concerned by China. India is downstream from much needed water from the Himalaya’s. India, Nepal, Bhutan and Pakistan are all in need of water from the Himalayas, electricity, (hydroelectric power, but it will effect water levels on India’s main rivers too),etc. And China is the builder of these super dams. Water shortages will mean potential long term conflict in the neighborhood. Interesting report on India.

  25. To your point…economic activity follows energy output. Population growth has also followed economic growth. And economic growth fueled aid and health in developing countries without the need for much energy in those countries….billions of people that would not be here without that economic growth. Net Zero is going to reduce the flow of economic activity, particularly in the electricity rich (producer) countries. That means less products, services and free stuff (aid, health technology, medicines) to ALL developing countries. Those people, who don’t produce their own stuff and are only alive because they get free stuff will be unalived. Populations will further plummet.   28. There is one more thing to consider in Egypt. There is a dam upstream from Egypt, on the Blue Nile. Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, built for hydroelectric power. Apparently a HUGE one. It can directly affect countries downstream, like Egypt…concerning food production. (China built that dam). Egypt, in the past has threatened to blow it up). Also it seems like the Suez Canal will be threatened, Egypt may receive money from that. It seems besides tourism, and food production they are living on borrowed time.

Also, there is a by product of making steel that is used in manufacturing chips… sent to Ukraine for processing… then off to chip manufactures…couldn’t that shut down the chip industry (Russia shutting down steel plants)?

  84. This is a really interesting topic. There is another important variable… the lopsided producing nations. The U.S.,is the driving force in lifting standard of living AND population growth (thru technology, that includes all health issues). That small group of people is shrinking the fastest and will very likely be eliminated by the current WOKE regime (that includes the UN, via Net Zero). If the U.S. technology machine and military machine go down… it’s lights out very quickly. I hope you address the importance of the private sector middle class.. that has driven world economic growth and standard of living since WWII. And the effect of that particular group being wiped out by communism.

  85. Interesting report. China has a massive amount of income from the belt and road global building projects. I have read that when China goes into a country, in particular Africa and Europe, they not only send engineers, but a large portion of the actual construction workers (even their own police force). All that income to workers, from abroad goes back into the Chinese economy. It could easily be millions of Chinese workers. With a reduced supply of young workers… that could also impact China’s economy going forward.
