  1. French out for good! Hopefully US out for good! Now there will be no excuse for poverty… unless the new government is corrupt. And hopefully US taxpayers get no demands for aid. Just possible trade between the countries. Countries should just be trading with each other.

They point fingers at the West for being slaveholders…yet they are doing nothing to stop slavery in their own country…they are waiting for the West to pay for it and do it! They are hypocrites….they have the money… they just don’t care! It’s sickening.

  3. I have listened to Emir Sanusi II give many speeches in Nigeria and on Ted Talks. I can’t imagine anyone more qualified to help untangle all the complicated negotiations in Niger.

  4. It boils down to …. To many people… not enough production. The government has not encouraged education and self reliance. If the government hands you food and water…. amount of children doesn’t matter… in fact, maybe you can increase your income by increasing amount of children. If parents have the responsibility of feeding their children…. they will limit amount of children.

  5. Remember Afghanistan…. $300,000,000 a day for 20 years. Trying to change the culture for girls and getting rid of the Taliban. As the U.S. planes were existing and the Taliban rolled in, the girls no longer were allowed to go to school. The U.S. taxpayers spent TRILLIONS, US soldiers lost arms, legs, and their lives! Nobody cares about their sacrifice. Just give us more money. Their government has to care and trade resources for educations!

  6. If corruption cannot be reversed , the country will be forever in poverty, and desperation… if the population is increasing it is because the ruling party is being given aid from other nations. The population becomes a revenue source for the corrupt government. If aid stops…. the billionaire ruling class, will let people die. Corrupt governments…don’t care.

  8. Niger is not important to the U.S. The U.S. does not depend on any particular country for any resource. Resources can be substituted for other resources. The U.S. , will hopefully remove itself from ALL African countries. The African countries do not like the western imperialists or their culture. African countries can flourish without the western cultures. They have everything they need to flourish. They just have to work together..which they can do on their own. Hopefully any US military bases in Africa withdraw immediately and can cut all aid, the U.S. has millions of illiterate criminals that seem to suddenly crave the U.S.. pouring over the border…the U.S. needs that aid money here… in the U.S. Africa is self sufficient… let them take care of themselves. And be the most successful continent on the planet…and give aid to the U.S.
