  2. If the Swedes and the Finns played the same games Erdogan & Orban are playing, then they would've already been NATO members. I find it honorable that they are instead choosing to respect the rule of law, democracy, & unity.

  3. I just want to say that Hungary is a beautiful place with amazing culture and history. Don't feel ashamed of your identity. And as for us, non-Hungarians, we have no right to associate a whole people with their government. The current government of Hungary hurts the Hungarian people more than it hurts anyone else.

  4. This is to completely different scenario. One is a European framework for trade and thrival. The other is history's greatest military alliance that was designed to maintain peace in Europe by countering Russian Aggression and inspiring cooperation.

  5. IDK about the EU. But back in 1949, it was seen as a security alliance that would prevent a 3rd World War. Nobody thought it would be a good idea to mess with that important fact.

  9. Finland and Sweden didn't say anything at all about Hungary (but instead Turkey), and now Orban and his posse are stoking false consciousness. Orban makes Erdogan look like a sensible lad. Honestly, I prefer Erdogan's political motivations instead of Orban's naked greed and lies. (But I will admit, Hungary only got bold after seeing Turkey's tactics pay dividends.)

  13. Not really. While I dislike him, I have to admit Erdogan is just a political statesman that seeks concession for the political interests of his party. Orban is just a power-hungry, culture-war-obsessed extremist that is trying to do what Erdogan is doing.
