  1. My aunt is a former Eritrean freedom fighter against Derg (along with my Tigrayan parents) and was a victim of his many, many, many wars. But nationalism and PFDJ propaganda has brainwashed her into thinking Isayas is Eritrea's only saving grace. It's crazy because, during the Tigray War, as the Eritrean slave army was piledging/raping/killing Tigrayan civilians with Abiy's national military, my aunt kept insisting that Isayas was somehow justified. The irony: she left Eritrea for a better life under a different govt.

  7. Your racism never ceases to amaze me. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was a refugee of the civil war. She literally just wants peace. Beside, being more American that you ever will be, she is too busy dealing with Musk (a foreign national that overstayed his work visa) and his takeover of the US government.

  10. The biggest obstacle to a Mexican economic miracle is the Mexico City government. That's why most of the areas in Mexico that still experience some sort of economic development are the Northern Mexican States. Those states do more business with the US anyway so for them the logic is "why should a region listen to a government that neglects it?". So people in the North would rather prefer to adjust their businesses to American laws/policies instead of hurting their economy by listening to their far-away central government.
