  1. My aunt is a former Eritrean freedom fighter against Derg (along with my Tigrayan parents) and was a victim of his many, many, many wars. But nationalism and PFDJ propaganda has brainwashed her into thinking Isayas is Eritrea's only saving grace. It's crazy because, during the Tigray War, as the Eritrean slave army was piledging/raping/killing Tigrayan civilians with Abiy's national military, my aunt kept insisting that Isayas was somehow justified. The irony: she left Eritrea for a better life under a different govt.
