  1. Hyperbole aside. It is garbage optics for your preferred RBI-centric trade partner to be with Putin's regime. Mind you, Russia is still fighting an illegal, unprovoked, ongoing war with Ukraine. Not to mention, Russia has continuously stated that it will only accept Russian Rubles. And it's not just optics. What kind of policy is this, really? Especially when India and US are trying to build stronger ties -- ties that aren't limited to just containing China.

  2. Also, this (intentionally or unintentionally) isolates the Indian Union away from President Biden's "Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity". You see, the Indian economy was already thrown a life tube/jacket with concrete long-term benefits. But as it turns out the RBI swam away from it towards high-risk, short-term-reward gambling. IDK, maybe y'all need a new Reserve Governor. In any case, I wish Indians the best of luck in these uncertain times.
