  1. I really like the first couple. They actually gave a whole synopsis of the relationship and gave really great advice. Communication is hard but with trust and constant effort they got past it. And whenever issues came up, they said they would try to quickly communicate to resolve them. Also, he (Haruki-san) also emphasized that it takes a willingness to learn about and enjoy their differences.

  3. (2:55) Okay, as an American, I find that weird, too. In most restaurants (not fast food) I go to in the States, I wait for the hostess to seat me at an open table. Especially if it is busy or happy hour. Some restaurants don't but I still check for a hostess first, before I do as I please. Even if 'the customer is always right', there should still be a level of respect that a customer brings to any place of business.

  8. I like that part about Re:Zero. It makes the story feel like a thriller mystery. But yeah, at least, JJK had a narrator to explain things. (Plus, I feel like the narrator is more a nod to Hunter x Hunter than it is a crutch.)

  11. I agree with that lady that said My Hero Academia is overrated. It had too much potential that wasn't lived up to. Imo, the story fell off after All Might vs All for One. Demon Slayer's writing is overrated, too, but Studio Ufotable made up for it with the god-tier animation.

So the best recommendation I can give is to consistently explore and interact w/ Japanese accounts (I use Twitter & Instagram). At a certain point, the algorithm will adapt and your feed will be more relevant to your goal.

  24. Definitely. Japanese laws, culture, and tolerance ranges from prefecture to prefecture. Not just on LGBTQ+ rights, but everything. Some are more similar, but other are stark opposites. Prefectures around Tokyo are very different from Kyoto. Same Osaka or Nara compared to Akita or Hokkaido.

  33. Interesting and controversial topic. It is similar to how Guam views its US base, while I will say that Guam is more assimilated into American society and dependent on the base. In my opinion, the greatest PROs would be the defense they bring & how they amplify the economy and quality of life. The greatest CONs would be all the noise and secrecy that is involved w/ living close to a military facility &, if not mindful of local, they can be a nuisance for coexisting. Side Note: Honestly, the number 1 cause for irritation would definitely be because of the noise from aircrafts tho LOL.

  49. I have noticed that many people have emphasized the lack of card-accepting registers and the fact that you need to practically always carry cash on you. Does that mean there are a fair amount of ATMs lying around in places that tourists frequent? That just seems economically logical.
