  1. This chapter of history is so significant because of how much it would impact the next century of European history. It shows how Germans came to be very nationalistic, militaristic, and prideful people. And that similar sentiments were found all across Europe. In the next chapters (concert of Europe, WW1, WW2), we see how different circumstances and experiences could change a country built on hyper nationalism, twisting it into something sinister. After all, every villains needs their epic origin story.
