  4. My favorite White House Correspondents' Dinners are the ones where the jokes are blatant and hilarious, but the crowd is afraid to applaud freely. That's how you know the hosting comedian is being brutally honest and to the point -- just like how the news should be.

  6. God, I love Trevor Noah. It really is great for the Correspondents' Dinner to be back on -- lord knows we need to celebrate free speech that isn't full of hate. And, like Trevor said, it is also great to see the President of the United States celebrating free speech with the press again, instead of antagonizing them. Bonus: I do, unironically, think that President Biden has returned the country to 'normalcy' despite the colossal challenges his presidency has faced and will continue to face in 2023.
