It's crazy how in depth the video is. It might have benefited from a longer run time to avoid speed running. Yet, with a modest 15 minutes, we got a thorough analysis of the history of Israel-Palestine via the borders. (Goes to show how important geography is when learning history.)

A lot is already being said about the conflict itself and the Putin's sneaky rise, so let me just say this: The stellar animation of this video is phenomenal. The animation quality of "The Armchair Historian" 's documentaries is constantly progressing towards excellency. Keep up the great work. I love what you and the Armchair team have been doing and will continue to do. Truth with quality.

Not just Russian made. Soviet made. Back then, the Soviets used to make the second best military technology in the world. Russian Federation wishes.

@NgolaNalane What part of CONSCRIPTED/drafted don't you understand?
48
@gorillaeggs8199 BS. A state have no right to secede from the Union. Especially not over slavery. Moreover, Lincoln guaranteed the South that he wouldn't force abolitionism on the South. Yet, all but 5 slave states seceded.

I knew that France's defeat, occupation, subjugation, and exploitation during WW2 were complicated and dark. And I knew about Vichy France's criminal history during the conquest of the nation. But I had no idea just how nuanced and immoral the situation was until now. History classes really need to expand their education, especially about France during World War 2.

The Armchair Historian animation isn't stiff and is actively giving the viewers a lecture while point at the map?? SO COOL!
39
Comparing the two makes you dishonest. 1 sin doesn't weigh the same as a thousand. The Allies were bad guys but Germany, Italy & Japan put all of that into context. That is the truth about the deadliest event in human history.

Toyota (used to) shows that quality > quantity. Quantity prolongs wars. Quality wins wars.
26
LMFAO. Trial and error can often be fatal
24
The PLA can be summed up in a sentence: Big in numbers but not in tonnage or experience.
16
Now those are war heroes. Gotta love the Marines.
16
Certified Gigachad feat.
14
Yeah. Even by Geneva standards, those are fair targets. General Sherman tried to avoid civilian casualties while maximizing damage to the Confederate war machine. (His post-Civil War crimes against Natives are different story tho.) HOWEVER, the acts done by Jefferson C Davis count as crimes against humanity.
13
Damn. How tf did he serve that bs to the Kremlin?
12
The worst case scenario of WW2. It would have made the pacific war a decades long affair, followed by decades more of counter-insurgency efforts.
12
And almost always stemming from British & French foreign policy.
12
Especially Goa.
12
Hopefully there is a section in that video for Iran Contra. Reagan's evils are endless.
11
Honestly, even by Geneva standards, Sherman was no war criminal. (On the other hand, Jefferson C Davis definitely was.)

@samuraipenguin8120 "Make the Israeli side look a lot worse?" Lol. Sorry buddy. But that's the geopolitical reality. It's a reality worsened by the fact that Israel is so much more powerful than any of its foes. And there is no Israeli or Palestinian side. People are not a monolith.

1) Thank you for your service & sacrifice, Private Bernhard Herman Bolt. 2) Once a parent is naturalized, their children (so long as they are still minors), automatically become citizens.

Actually, Saddam very cleverly allowed the IAEA to inspect and search for any WMDs. Hell, by 2002, Saddam had ran out of even chemical weapons. But Bush said cap, invaded, then forbade any further inspections by the UN.
10
That is so tragic.
10
The flaw in your logic is the fact that submarines are still some of the most lethal weapons in the 21st century. One Seawolf-class nuclear-powered, fast attack submarine could destroy an entire navy or rain nuclear hellfire without ever being detected.
9
@TheWoollyFrog Yeah, he kept that same energy when he fought Native Americans after the Civil War.
9
@sleepisthecousinofdeath7395 Guess you're gonna count forever.🤡
9
I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. More damning is the fact that they saw firsthand what this meant when Stalin and Hitler teamed up to carve up Poland.
8
I also like how he wasn't "just following orders". The March South was his idea, and he did it because that was the quickest and most efficient way to win the war.
7
Slava Ukraini
7
Yeah that happens a lot. The good news is that it showcases this videos lack of bias. Both "sides" will claim that the truth is false because it doesn't match their narrative.
7
@raketny_hvost And now grammar has jumped out of your window.
6
1) History did not begin on October 7th. All of this started with the Balfour Declaration and the Nakba. 2) One belligerent committing war crimes and crimes against humanity doesn't give another belligerent the right to do that same violation of international law. Civilization has evolved beyond Hammurabi's Code being considered an acceptable legal system. 3) There is never an excuse for genocide. NEVER.
6
@imjustthere9343 Classic bothsideism. FOH.
6
@T-TD-5 During all of the brutal years of the Civil War, not once had a Confederate flag been marched into DC. But in 2021, that flag was marched into the Capitol Building of the Union.
6
@thehaus6998 It honestly seems like you are speaking from a place a bias. In any case, please feel free to tell me which important facts you feel were omitted entirely.
6
@d.s.4952 It didn't. The IDF soldiers were lying. Anyone that reads Arabic (or can use google translate image) can tell you that much.
6
You're words say one thing, but the flag in your pfp says another. I am now legitimately confused.
6
@raketny_hvost What does that even mean!? LMFAOOO
5
@raketny_hvost Even your comebacks are sad and unfactual.
5
@KazeHorse Say that to all the civilians the Red Army killed with their scorched-earth bombing campaign. The Red Army literally destroyed more than half of the Afghani countryside.
5
Don't mess with the Yankees!
5
lmfao
5
Funny enough that was what contributed War to start in Europe again... and also simultaneously on a global scale.
5
They just needed time to adapt. After all, President Lincoln was never going unilaterally end slavery in the South. Despite being an abolitionist, he put the Union above all else.
5
I thank him for his service. Sounds like he was a true American.
5
@attilamarics3374 Stop excusing genocide.
4
He wasn't. He was also very racist and caused the American-Japanese alliance to fall apart even though Japan sacrificed a lot in WW1 for the sake of internationalism (something Wilson was supposed to be a champion of). He did have some cool ideas though that he couldn't implement because democrats lost their majority in Congress.
