2023 proved that both US politicians are useless freeloaders, and that Pentagon war planners don't know how to fight positional warfare anymore. The description "WW1 with 21st century weapons" is no hyperbole.

@javiersanchez67 Why are you not talking about the fact that Spaniards eradicated 75% of all Native Americans with disease? Why are you not talking about the fact that Spaniards raped so many Native American women, they made a whole new ethnicity? The Spanish colonizers were just as cruel as the British colonizers and ruled for longer.

I am still bewildered by the insanity that is the Nigerian Civil War. NATO members supported opposite sides; the Sino-Soviet split meant that they supported opposite sides; US & USSR were seemingly on the same side, while at the same time not; Africans supported opposite sides; Isreal supported both sides; Europeans were supported opposite sides; Arabs supported one side while Haitians(wtf!!???) supported the other side; and let's not even get started on the foreign mercenaries.

True.

He also left out both Minsk Agreements & the Budapest Memorandum, too. But overall great.
2
If so it should be followed with the American occupation. (I think he already did the Japanese occupation.)

Hey, Armchair Historian. You should do a modern battle analysis of Operation Alula Aba Nega (June 18 - 28, 2021), in Tigray, which was fought between the forces of the Tigray Defense Force vs the occupying Anti-Tegaru Coalition (Ethiopia Defense Forces, Amhara Militia, Eritrean Defense Forces, & Somali draftees). Some serious observers of the conflict have called it the "turning point of the war in Tigray" and "one of the greatest rebel offensive in African History". Although, it would have to be a video uploaded to your website due to how recent the battle was and Youtube regulation. But I still recommend exploring the 10-day Oppression named after the 19th-century Tegaru General, Alula Aba Nega.

Mainly because at the onset of the war, the Imperial Japanese Army proved to be far less competent than the Japanese Navy.

Johnson could have been that cool president that showed unity and respect in a post-Lincoln Union. But instead, he became the guy almost everybody hated.
2
@commandercorl1544 Gee I wonder why? Surely it wouldn't because THOSE ARE HOSPITAL SHIFTS. In case you didn't know, people usually work at least 5 days a week.

Away down South in the land of traitors, Rattlesnakes and alligators

One thing that was lost in this narrative was that this all started with Ukraine being a neutral country. Most people don't remember that. When Ukraine handed over its nuclear weapons, it not only got assurances of not being invaded by Russia but also assurances of not being sanctioned by the United States. During the 2000s, Ukraine still didn't want to join NATO even as the Orange Revolution saw a popular desire to join the EU. (In fact, France wanted both Ukraine and Russia in the EU up until Feb 2022.) NATO expansion in the Black Sea was only focused on Georgia, Romania & Bulgaria w/ . Also, you can't blame NATO for Eastern European countries not trusting Russia because of its past history AND present actions.

Truman had nothing but impossible choices. That being said I completely disagree with his later escalation of the arms race into hydrogen bombs.

A great and detailed glance into the history of German Aircraft engineering. Looking forwards to an "Evolution of American Aircraft" video! Everyone knows the USAF is what Congress likes to splurge. Plus, the US has a very long and controversial history with the Military-Industrial Complex, so I know there would be a lot to discuss.
2
Gotta hand it to Poland. Regardless of the time (WW1, Inter-War, WW2, Cold War, Post-Cold War, this Ukrainian-Russo War), the Poles have the will to and experience of fighting for their sovereign territory.

Since the 19th century, the area that we, now, know as the Federal Republic of Germany has almost always been known for being ruled by a state with insane military power. Besides the weak Weimar Republic (followed by the most militant German state -- Nazi Germany), the only time there was an exception to this truth was in the 30 years after the Soviet Union fell. I guess the conclusion I am trying to reach is, now that Germany is remilitarizing more than ever before, I am just glad it isn't under a military dictatorship or a Nazi dictatorship, but under a stable and strong democracy.
2
Surprisingly, it mostly is so far.
2
@ethangarland8034 The Gulf War??? Bush's Daddy sent Saddam packing out of Kuwait, thus upholding the global order and securing global oil trade.
2
@spiffygonzales5160 Reread their comment.

Especially int terms of sound design
2
@anonymousperson9735 Lowkey respectable considering how most empires try to eradicate the cultures of their conquested people.
2
Okay. Those Goat Guns model kits are super cool and intricate.
2
That is the nature of evolution. Adapt or die. The South become to complacent and stuck in their way, then they reactively started a war that they couldn't win. If it had adapted sooner, so much self-caused suffering wouldn't have happened.
2
No they're not. That's only like 5 to 10 percent of the comments.

In my opinion, the war of containment in Vietnam failed when troops were deployed to an unfamiliar country filled w/ jungles and fierce guerrilla fighters who know the land.

History must not be censored. Private interests be damned.

Wait so King George III wasn't evil? Whoops. My bad. Then I guess it's F*ck the PM, instead! Edit: Oh never mind he was just a fickle tyrant. AND he ignored the letters.

nice
1
@spuldzexx That is straight disinformation. No refugees were forced to go back. Your lies are meaningless slander.
1
There is a difference between current events and a conflict that too place 80 years ago. 80 years is a whole human lifetime.
1
Thanks for this informative video on a topic most would simplify and/or glance over.
1
@aleksejssuharevs866 Oh shut up you donut.
1
@josefmengele181 Grammar please. I can't understand your broken rhetoric.
1
Honestly, without American troops, France would have been, at least, carved up.
1
@8ball279 If the South didn't want to get burned to the ground, then Confederates shouldn't have committed treason against the Union just to keep their slaves. Womp Womp
1
@_xoma_-yo2zf You mean how it was the USSR that partnered with Hitler's Germany (Molotov-Ribbon Pact) to invade Poland. In this case, Stalin would be Netanyahu and Nazi Party would be Hamas. That makes Poland the innocent Palestinian and Israeli civilians, the real victims of this war.
1
@sasquatchpatrol9317 More like corporation (YouTube/Google) approved propaganda.
1
The fallacy in your thinking is that China is NOT building up its military to protect itself from exploitation. The PLA is being built up so that the PROC project their superpower status. While following the superpower playbook, the CCP chose to use their military to: expand its borders, try to force Taiwan into reunification, try to annex the South China Sea, provoking neighboring states by attacking foreign commercial vessels. The biggest military threat for most Asian nations is a hostile China. From India to the Philippines to Japan.

Atatürk is holding on for dear life, meanwhile the Young Turks are too busy committing genocide on the Armenians.

This animation is really great! (7:15) Now the animators are just flexing for fun.

The sound quality is stellar.

Great video!!

Before even watching this video, I doubt the allies could even successfully pull off an amphibious landing that would have dropped. Then the allies + the Soviets would have to subjugated a cult military that is fighting to defend its own mainland. Finally, the occupation woulda taken countless decades of brutal insurgency fighting until the very last man, women, and child thanks to brainwashing. The Romans look like the French compared to the Imperial Japanese.
1
@TheOriginalTPro That wasn't written on the calendar. You've been duped by your naivete. It weird that you would trust an IDF soldier with incentive to lie over people that can actually read Arabic.

Airchair Historian doesn't censor.

And then the bloody Libyan Civil War because a proxy war in the large cold war between Turkey and Russia. Foreign interventions saved Libya from Gaddafi, but it also cursed Libya into downward spiral of chaos. This was also another failure of Obama's "Strategic Patience" doctrine.
1
Alvarado: The only conquistador more evil than Hernan Cortes. It was he who instigated the siege by massacring those unarmed generals during an Aztec holiday.
1
I agree. I love to see the evolution of this channel.
