  1. I knew that France's defeat, occupation, subjugation, and exploitation during WW2 were complicated and dark. And I knew about Vichy France's criminal history during the conquest of the nation. But I had no idea just how nuanced and immoral the situation was until now. History classes really need to expand their education, especially about France during World War 2.
