  2. Since the 19th century, the area that we, now, know as the Federal Republic of Germany has almost always been known for being ruled by a state with insane military power. Besides the weak Weimar Republic (followed by the most militant German state -- Nazi Germany), the only time there was an exception to this truth was in the 30 years after the Soviet Union fell. I guess the conclusion I am trying to reach is, now that Germany is remilitarizing more than ever before, I am just glad it isn't under a military dictatorship or a Nazi dictatorship, but under a stable and strong democracy.
