@T-TD-5 During all of the brutal years of the Civil War, not once had a Confederate flag been marched into DC. But in 2021, that flag was marched into the Capitol Building of the Union.

Reconstruction Era was the most consequential period in US History. And if Andrew Johnson had not been too compromised, the reforms implemented in the South would have been even more thorough. And if the Union forces didn't just leave the South without a proper plan/security guarantees, those reforms would NOT have been dismantled.
