  1. Real talk though. Despite the JSDF being one of the most capable forces on the planet, the Japanese public is largely, staunchly pacifistic. And with Japan being one of the most democratic nations, the government would have to rely on public approval. So, the CCP's action would have to be utterly bold and appalling for the Japanese people to throw their weight behind the government.
