The EU had a more competent regulatory system. That's why the EU is dubbed a "regulative superpower". Meanwhile, the DOJ is horrible at prosecuting monopolies on behalf of the American people.

It's funny because PolyMatter is really defending Apple. He is criticizing the Department of Justice for not bring forth a better case against a powerful corporate monopoly. And I agree. Y'all would too if you weren't so caught up in your disdain for Apple. Furthermore, PolyMatter finishes the video by criticizing Apple in the ways that the DOJ should have in their case. Moreover, like he said, this isn't just about US V. Apple. It's also about the monopoly cases against Google, Meta, etc.

The DOJ usually means well, but when it comes to tech, they are always so quick to jump to the wrong conclusion. It's as if we (the users/public) are look at the same book, but they are reading it upside-down.

8:40 That is only "true" because Apple forces messages coming from android devices to be unencrypted. All texts from android devices already are encrypted, but iOS does the extra step of unencrypting our messages (just to justify the green bubble). The green bubble is a status indicator, nothing more -- all part of how Apple keeps skating by with brand-marketing alone.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, the DOJ really doesn't know what it is doing. The Green Bubbles don't matter in context of our 3rd party social media apps. The Green Bubbles matter only in comparison to Android. The real issue is that Apple is automatically forcing Android messages to be less secure and less attractive. THAT's where the DOJ should have honed in on. They make great points, but ruin them with their incompetent outlook.
