  1.  @editek5992  He was a gay hero killed by conservative former cop over politics. That is enough to spark a "Gay Spring". Moreover, Dan White was incompetent and unhappy at his job anyways, and had already resigned. So, most people never blamed Milk for making sure White didn't get reinstated.

  2. I don't think it was just because the victim was gay. This actually reminds me a lot about the trail for the Murder of Trayvon Martin. In both cases, it should have been a slam dunk cases. But incompetent prosecutors ruined ALL of that.

  5. True but she actually has done a lot for the gay community. Maybe it was due to Milk's assassination, a la PM Ikeda after the assassination of Asanuma.

  6. I'm from Oakland. Harvey Milk is a certified legend in the Bay Area. It sucks how these consequential figures, from the Kennedys to Asanuma, achieve more after they are dead. They became immortal after they died.
