  1. That's because the writer of this myth was presenting it to an all male audience. Ancient Greek men weren't very keen on the idea of justified mariticide because many of them were abusive to their wives, themselves. Besides condemning someone to self-torture is much better than killing them.

  4. There is no way Hera, the Goddess of Marriage, appreciated the fact that her favorite human/hero committed adultery and martial sacrilege. I'm sure she changed sides after that, and Medea became her new favorite human. And tbh, Medea and Hera are both villainesses and victims of domestic abuse, so ig it worked out.
