  1. Yeah, you should really read or watch One Piece. Its Ancient Weapons do this trope the best. There are three of them that were created more than 800 years ago by an Ancient Kingdom. Poseidon is my favorite for reasons revealed in FMI arc. The archeological revelation of Pluton was a stroke of worldbuilding genius. And the last Ancient Weapon, Uranus remains a mystery. (But there are many theories.)
