  2. Personally, I think the keys are still reliable but he just read them wrong. Harris viewed an incumbent but in a negative way due to post-pandemic inflation. Jill Stein & RFK Jr + sitting on the couch combine to make a "third party". True that Gaza didn't cause sustained unrest, but the constant presence of Trumpism counts as sustained social unrest. Also, the fact that he got the same amount vote last time while Harris got much less than Biden shows that the plot armor, cult leader status of Trump counts as challenger "charisma" in the event of lower turnout.
