  1. At least, Apartheid South Africa saw the international pressure + the writing on the wall and had the decent sense to peacefully-ish give up power to the African National Congress. However, in Apartheid Israel, fascism has taken over at the top in direct conflict with moderate-to-progressive parties, same story w/ Israeli society at large. We have seen in Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan (and MAGA, too) that fascists will never go out kicking and screaming, trying to take everyone down. Netanyahu and his nazi buddies would rather ruin their country than to abdicate power.
