  6. Unnaturally, people living in Ethiopia that aren't brainwashed by nationalism wish that Egypt or Sudan would hurry up and just blow up the whole dam. The whole country of Ethiopia is collapsing into ethnic marginalization and polarization, with the national army weakened to the point where it can only fight in one front at a time -- aka: rip pickings for foreign intervention. Moreover, ever since the 2018 government takeover, the people who were originally turning the dam into fruition are now opposing the dam, the govt, and the ethics of the failing nation.
