  1. And France is not helped. For a country that is trying to shake off its colonial past, it sure isn't trying very hard. That is making those countries vulnerable to Russian influence.

  4. With the failed armed rebellion and Prigozhin's exile to Belarus, perhaps this means that all of Wagner's criminal network will soon be in the direct hands of Putin, himself. On one side, the domestic civil war is really hurting his grip on power. Yet, on the other, now that Prigozhin is dealt with, if Wagner can actually be folded in, Putin might have won something from this mess, after all.
