While the RTS index — which is denominated in dollars — ended the day with losses of 39%. TheCrash wiped about $70 billion off the value of Russia’s biggest companies. Additional sanctions from the U.S., wiped out almost $200 billion in stock-market value and roughly a third of the sovereign debt’s value.
