They have nothing but utter contempt for the American people, and our democracy., therefore, they don't believe we deserve to know the truth. Especially when the truth is damaging to them.

For some strange reason,  Kavanaugh and others seem to be under the impression that he is somehow entitled,  or preordained to hold a seat on the Supreme Court. Nothing could be further from the truth.  Kavanaugh is not entitled to a goddamn thing. However, the more than 320 million people in this country, are in fact entitled. We are entitled to have the very best people on the Supreme Court.  That means that anyone, who's character, integrity,  judgment, morals, and temperament is in question, has no business being a member of only 9 people who will hold sway and judgment over 320 million people. This whole thing is about us, and what we deserve. And we clearly deserve better than Kavanaugh.  And we most definitely deserve better than Trump.
