Powell asked a federal judge to dismiss the $1.3 billion defamationSuit filed by DominionVoting Systems in January. In court, lawyers for Powell told the judge that "no reasonable person" would believe that her false claims and conspiracy theories about the 2020 election were "truly statements of fact." The filing in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia claims Powell's statements were so absurd they couldn’t be taken seriously.🤣 “Plaintiffs themselves characterize the statements at issue as 'wild accusations' and 'outlandish claims,'" her lawyers wrote. "They are repeatedly labeled 'inherently improbable' and even 'impossible.'
