  1. No one ever thinks it's going to happen to them or their loved ones. I'm sure the parents of the children of Sandy Hook and Parkland never thought it would happen to their kids. The problem is that most people don't even care unless it directly affects them. This level of apathy and indifference is part of the problem. We can thank the RepublicanNRA for this.

  2. In1994 assault weapons were banned here in America, and mass shootings like this decreased. But In 2004, the assault rifle ban was allowed to expire, and  since then, mass shootings have increased by more than 100%. That ban needs to be put back into place.. Other than being the preferred weapon of mass carnage for mass shooters, assault rifles and high capacity magazines serve no other purpose. Allowing such a weapon to be openly sold to the public is the height of Irresponsibility, and we've got the bodies to prove it.
