  1. The Republican Party today is controlled by a kleptocratic crime boss who ruled over the most scandal-ridden administration in history. And that corruption has consumed the GOP. The corruption we see in the Republican party today can only be defined as institutional depravity. It isn’t an occasional failure to uphold norms, but a consistent repudiation of them. It isn’t about dirty money so much as the pursuit and abuse of power—power as an end in itself, justifying almost any means.

  2. This impeachment is not about removing Trump from office, the American people have already done that. This is all about holding him accountable for the events of January 6, and his attempt to take down our Constitution, and our democracy. Just imagine if a horde of lunatics stormed the Capitol every election year, just because their candidate lost. Let that thought sink in for a moment. What kind of country would we have?
